While you can get your marriage license in any county in North Carolina, it is highly suggested that you call the county where you plan to obtain your license to verify their specific requirements and office procedures.

Please note that the Bladen County Register of Deeds office does not perform marriage ceremonies. Our office only issues the marriage license. You will need a minister, officiant, magistrate, or other individual authorized by North Carolina law to perform the ceremony.

Marriage licenses are issued by appointment from 9:00am-4:00pm Monday - Friday.
