The Bladen County Family Planning Clinic is available to women who wish to plan and space their children in order to improve their own health and the health of their families.
This clinic provides:
- a comprehensive medical history assessment
- a complete physical examination of the reproductive organs
- screening for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs)
- pap smear screening
- breast cancer screening
- education and counseling regarding methods of birth control. There are many different kinds of birth control methods, known as contraceptives. No one contraceptive is right for every person. This is why it is important to find out what works best for you.
- Pre-conceptional health risks
- prevention of STDs and HIV
- Vaccination schedule is reviewed and client is updated for rubella, tetanus-diphtheria and Hepatitis A/B
This clinic is available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, an appointment is necessary, however an appointment is usually available within three working days. Individuals who have health concerns are screened and are seen as soon as possible, usually within the same day.
