4-H Life Skills

The 4-H Life skills program provides the Juvenile Justice System with a local program that will help deter youth from becoming involved in the court system. Through the Strengthening Families Program and other curriculum, the program provides a structured setting for youth to foster interpersonal skill building and guided growth in targeted areas. Such areas include (but are not limited to) school behavior, peer relationships, substance abuse, sexual behavior, and conflict resolution.

4-H Teen Court

4-H Teen Court provides an alternative court diversion opportunity for first-time juvenile offenders. In addition, youth learn about the judicial system and future law related career opportunities.

4-H Restitution & Community Service

4-H Restitution & Community Service provides a structured and supervised program that will give youth an opportunity to perform community service hours within the time frame of their constructive sentences. The program also offers assistance in compensation of victims (up to $500) within a reasonable amount of time.

4-H Court Psychological Assessment

The Court Psychological Assessment program will help assure that appropriate interventions are identified and implemented to prevent further penetration by youth into the juvenile justice system.

Supportive Services for Students and Parents

This program encompasses the Afterschool Academic Enrichment program which participants receive academic tutoring in a safe environment conducive to learning. Attention is given to participants are of weakness as determined by pre-assessment date collected and reviewed which will include not only academic risk but also behavior problems by characteristics of behavior.
