Office of the County ManagerBladen County operates under a Board of Commissioners/County Manager form of government. The County Manager's Office oversees all County departments, programs and operations pursuant to the policies, ordinances and directives adopted by the Board of County Commissioners. Other responsibilities include preparing the recommended annual County budget, preparing and publishing the agenda for Board meetings, and providing all other management services necessary to assure the efficient and effective operation of County government. The Clerk to the Board serves as corporate secretary to the Board, custodian of the minute book and County seal, and certifies all official documents on behalf of the County. The Clerk prepares the Board's meeting agenda, attends all meetings of the Board, and records and transcribes the official minutes of meetings. The County Attorney is appointed by the Board of Commissioners and provides advice and counsel to ensure government activities are carried out in a judicious manner.
